WWE Backstage is coming back for the Royal Rumble.

As announced by FOX Sports on Thursday, a special episode of the talk show will air on FS1 at 8PM on Saturday 30 January, the night before Royal Rumble 2021. The network will also broadcast a replay at midnight and another at 5PM ET on Sunday, leading into the Royal Rumble Kickoff Show.

FOX confirmed this via their PR Twitter account:-

This will be the first time Backstage has aired since March 2020, when it became a casualty of the ongoing global health crisis. It was announced that the show would move off its weekly schedule and would only air on special occasions, though a previously announced episode was cancelled in October, replaced by Talking Smack. Now, Paquette and co. are bringing it back.

The former Renee Young addressed the news with the @WWEonFOX Twitter account, saying she'll be heading to Los Angeles to film the show rather than broadcasting from her home:-

Paquette's eight-year WWE returned ended in August 2020, though she retained her contract with FOX at the time.
