WWE Backstage Talent Meeting Over Bill DeMott Controversy

All talent meeting held before Raw.

WWE held an all talent meeting before Monday's Raw broadcast. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, management told the crew that if they had a problem, as in the problems that were experienced with Bill DeMott, that they should be coming to management and letting them know first. On the idea of talent going to WWE management, Bryan Alvarez hilariously quipped "it did wonders for a lot of people." This is a reference to the unhelpful attitude of WWE's management structure. The people who run the company are wildly out of touch, and tend to blame the talent before stopping to consider their own positions and structures. Based on their past experiences, the talent have no reason to trust the management to resolve difficult situations. This is why talent end up leaving the company and then speaking out. They know that internally they are wasting their breath, but externally they can make an impact. This was evidenced when the Judas Devlin letter was leaked to Reddit. That complaint achieved nothing when submitted internally to WWE, but within a week of going on Reddit it had forced Bill DeMott out of his job. The alleged verbal and physical bullying were exposed for the world to see, forcing action to be taken. It isn't enough for WWE to hold an all-talent meeting and tell the crew to come them, instead they must prove that they can be trusted first. The actions of the company over a longer period of time is the only thing that can restore internal respect.
