"More creative terms" like, "the title will be defended" sounds better in WWE's bubble to Vince than the more stock, "the title is on the line". That last bit, "...on the line" is particularly egregious to McMahon - so much so in fact that he made sure to put a special entry at the bottom of the sheet pointing this out.

When a WWE doc says, "Per Vince McMahon", you just know announcers will take it seriously.
