Hands up how many people were fooled by this particular near fall? When Roman Reigns delivered his trademark 'Superman Punch' to rival Bray Wyatt, it really seemed like the match was coming to an end, and it was only a formality that the referee would then count to 3 and award the bout to the former member of The Shield.

That didn't happen. Instead, Wyatt kicked out of Roman's finish, and it was quite clear that a lot of fans around ringside didn't see it coming. It was a nice touch, one which helped make the match - as well as the rivalry between both men - seem bigger than merely just another mid-card encounter on the show.

The announcers sold the kick out well, and the action had been well-paced enough that it was a believable near fall. There really aren't enough of those in wrestling nowadays, but that's an arguable point! Whatever side of the fence you sit on in regards to that topic, this was a sweet false finish, one which paved the way nicely for Luke Harper's comeback.
