6. The Miz Makes Scathing Remark About Big Show

The Intercontinental Title scene is a bit iffy right now, to say the least. Ryback was always going to suffer after the sorry circumstances which led to Daniel Bryan vacating the belt, and neither The Big Show nor The Miz is really going to excite fans enough in the division. Bryan would have offered something different in the Intercontinental hot seat, that's for sure.

With that in mind, at least The Miz got to show where he really prospers at Battleground, on the microphone. Like him or loathe him, if WWE creative are going to send anybody out to deliver a time-filling promo, it might as well be someone who's good at it, and Miz can talk with the best of them.

Perhaps the most awesome (ironically, given his past catchphrase of, 'I'm The Miz, and I'm awesome') part of his diatribe was when The Miz remarked off the cuff that The Big Show wasn't only missing at Battleground, he'd been posted missing since the 'Attitude Era'. It's little quips such as this which help make promos interesting, and helps make it easy for fans to care about what happened next, Big Show punching the man's lights out.
