Wasn't it awesome to see the likes of Charlotte and Sasha Banks compete in a match on a main roster WWE Pay-Per-View? In the opinions of many, this has been a long time coming, and viewing their performance at Battleground, it's desperately hard to argue against that point.

There's a case to be made that the NXT women outshone Brie Bella, but whatever anybody thought about the actual content of the bout, at least things are heating up with the women in WWE once more. There's a renewed purpose to the division, one which was sorely lacking before, and numbers were needed to bolster things up.

That's exactly what has happened, and it's very much for the better. Hearing the fans inside the Scottrade Centre chant 'Woo' along with Charlotte - the daughter of Ric Flair - or chant, 'Like a boss' in the direction of Sasha Banks, was very cool, and it's a crystal clear reminder to the company that fans will care about female performers if they're given a reason to do so.
