Over the past week or so, the main plot point surrounding the WWE Title Triple Threat at Battleground has changed. Previously, WWE were all about building the match around the idea of The Shield imploding. That still played a role, but there was also the sub-plot of exactly which brand the WWE Title would end up on after the show.

Fans now have the answer to that question, Dean Ambrose will be taking it to SmackDown Live this coming Tuesday evening. This means that the WWE Title probably won't be around on Monday Night Raw, something that will be addressed by Stephanie McMahon and Mick Foley.

Neither Roman Reigns nor Seth Rollins won the match, and they both belong to Raw. Ambrose pinned Reigns, sparking wild celebrations from Shane McMahon and Daniel Bryan upon realising that SmackDown now holds the most prestigious title in the promotion.

The match transpired just how many would have expected, it was a typically chaotic Triple Threat situation. WWE really know how to book these bouts well, and this was no exception.
