Result: Charlotte taps out to Sasha's Bank Statement (7:25).

Rating: This was a strange choice to kick off the show, but it got things off to a strong start as Sasha Banks' partner did indeed turn out to be Bayley as so many hoped for. Sadly, though, JBL suggested that this didn't mean she had actually been called up to the main roster.

Sure, this was a hugely predictable match, but the crowd were hot for it throughout and Bayley and Sasha carried Charlotte and Dana to some of their best in-ring work in a while.

It seemed like an odd choice not to have Bayley win the match for her team (at least until it sunk in that she was remaining in NXT), but on the other hand Sasha beating Charlotte (and giving her the first PPV loss of her career) nicely sets up their inevitable SummerSlam match.

Not Sasha or Bayley's finest displays, and it probably could've gone a few minutes longer, but a solid opener all the same.
