Alberto Del Rio vs Rob Van DamOverview: WWE advertised this as a hardcore match, and boy, did it deliver! One of my favorite Alberto Del Rio matches ever, Alberto Del Rio and Rob Van Dam tore the house down with an excellent performance. Alberto Del Rio dominated here, as he brutally destroyed Rob Van Dam's arm, and he locked in the Cross Arm Breaker for the victory. Alberto Del Rio retains the World Heavyweight Championship.Author's Thoughts: Alberto Del Rio and Rob Van Dam have absolutely no chemistry whatsoever. They do not connect anyhow, and their previous matches have seemed off. However, adding the stipulation of a Hardcore match really helped, since this match was extreme and somewhat great to watch. Alberto Del Rio focused on RVD's arm whereas RVD just planned to destroy Del Rio. However, I have to say this - Alberto Del Rio is a diligent worker, however, he has literally feuded with every face on the Smackdown Roster now, and barely has any competition, making him a great, but boring World Heavyweight Champion. Hopefully, WWE can find a new opponent for him, or Damien Sandow cashes in his briefcase soon and becomes a World Champion for the first time in his career.Rating: 4/5
Santino/Khali vs Real Americans
Overview: Santino had the most action in the ring at Battleground, as he singlehandedly tried to get a win over The Real Americans, however, the Great Khali was tagged in and Khali tried to win the match for his team, but Antonio Cesaro's Giant Swing on the Great Khali ended the match for the faces and The Real Americans secured the victory.
Author's Thoughts: Wrestling's motive is to be fun, and this match, even though it didn't deserve to be on the card, was fun. Santino Marella always adds the fun in wrestling, and he did a wonderful job this time. Antonio Cesaro's Giant Swing on the Great Khali was brilliant and Khali was used to his maximum potential, which was perfect. The Real Americans won the match, however, I don't think they're winning anything else anytime soon.

R-Truth vs Curtis Axel
Overview: R-Truth looked fresh in the ring today, and Curtis Axel was himself. There were a few near falls, but in the end, the result was what everyone predicted: Curtis Axel defeated R-Truth with the neck-breaker. The crowd chanted 'boring' and many other derogatory terms for these two superstars as they were battling in the ring.
Author's Thoughts: The crowd was so against this match and did not stop belittling the performers in the ring, as they did not pay attention to the action taking place inside. However, it was a good match and R-Truth and Curtis Axel put up a good show with near falls and great maneuvers. Curtis Axel has no competition now and all he can do is move up the roster.
