Bayley has officially left Damage CTRL behind, and the 2024 Royal Rumble winner will now challenge old stablemate IYO SKY for the Women's Title at WrestleMania 40 - WWE booked the peak chapter of that story on this week's edition of SmackDown.

They nailed it too.

Bayley called out CTRL members for talking behind her back, and questioned why they'd make her feel so useless when she only wanted the group to succeed. It was a strong promo, one made better by the fact IYO and pals didn't waste any time taking the fight to Bayley in return.

They'd been outed, and they knew it. The segment ended with Bayley saying she wanted to wrestle IYO at 'Mania, not Rhea Ripley, then both women had a weapon-based face-to-face holding the belt and a steel pipe. It was very strong stuff, and bodes well for the coming title match.

Bayley received booming cheers for calling the heels out and then announcing her intentions for Philadelphia this April. Booking her vs. SKY was the best play available to Triple H's creative team, so it's nice to report they didn't swerve fans for the sake of it.

Roll on 'Mania.
