WWE Brand Split 2016: 20 Top Draft Picks For Raw And Smackdown
12. Smackdown #5 Pick: Rusev
The championship gold rush will continue. Shane McMahon will recall the history of the United States Championship on Smackdown and want to make it a featured title on Tuesday nights once again. He'll start by drafting the current champ, Rusev.
Rusev will give Smackdown a competitor who works best as a heel, but can also work as a face when needed. He's a mid card superstar who can be moved up to the main event when a one-time challenger is needed.
Rusev is a brutal strong man, which Smackdown does not yet have on its roster in this draft. There's plenty of style and flash, but sometimes you just need someone who can step in the ring and do damage to their opponent. Shane will have that with Rusev.
