WWE Bringing Back Wrestler Released In April?
Let go on 15 April, the wrestler is yet to find a permanent home...
WWE may be interested in bringing No Way Jose back to into the fold.
This is according to a new report from Fightful Select stating that company officials have expressed a desire to get Jose back in the company, though there's no word on whether or not that promotion's recent trademark application for "The Way" was related to him.
Jose was one of dozens of independent contractors and employees to be either cut or furloughed by WWE on 15 April. Many of his fellow releasees have since signed full-time deals elsewhere, with Miro jumping to AEW and the likes of Karl Anderson, Luke Gallows, and Eric Young finding a home in Impact Wrestling. Along with Erick Rowan and Aiden English, Jose is amongst the biggest names left on the table.
Now competing as Levy Valnez on the independent scene, the 32-year-old's CAGEMATCH profile lists just a single match since leaving WWE. Valnez teamed with Gallows to face former WCW wrestler Air Paris and Aleksandr Koloff back in August.
The former Jose had a five-year run with WWE commencing in April 2015. He became a popular NXT midcard fixture shortly after debuting, but struggled for traction on the main roster.
