The announced Bobby Lashley vs. Xavier Woods match won't happen on Monday's Raw.

WWE changed the main event for this coming Monday's edition of Raw on the latest episode of SmackDown.

The promotion had already announced that Xavier Woods would be returning to seek revenge for his Hell In A Cell loss to Bobby Lashley on the 21 June show - Woods and Bobby Lashley were expected to work a one-on-one singles rematch (sans Cell gimmick) in the headline spot.

Not so fast.

WWE revealed on SmackDown that Xavier will actually team with New Day cohort Kofi Kingston to face Lashley and MVP in a special tag encounter. This will be Porter's first in-ring action since working a six-man alongside then-Hurt Business pals Shelton Benjamin and Cedric Alexander on the 15 February Raw.

Obviously, this is all part of WWE's build towards Money In The Bank 2021. There, Kingston challenges the "All Mighty" WWE Champ Lashley for his belt. Before that, it looks like he and Woods will seek some revenge for that two-on-one mauling inside HIAC several weeks ago.

It's unclear exactly why WWE made this change, but it's for the best. The tag clash feels a little fresher than another Woods vs. Lashley match would've.
