WWE: Chris Jericho's Return Stalled Over Creative

chris jericho Chris Jericho so far hasn't returned to the WWE yet due to creative having nothing for him, according to Dave Meltzer's Wrestling Observer Newsletter. At this point, Y2J looks as far away from a return and WrestleMania 30 match as he did at the tail end of last year. Meltzer reports that WWE held talks with Jericho in late 2013 about bringing him back for the first few months of 2014, leading to a WrestleMania appearance. However, the issues that kept it from happening had to do with creative instead of financials. In other words, the money offered was likely similar to deals he had in the past and he was happy to return, but with so much up in the air about WrestleMania 30, there's no clear opponent for him and nothing has happened. Jericho's plight is obviously common in the company currently. How many people on the current roster have no storyline or have struggled just to get TV time? CM Punk left the company for basically the same reason. Of course at the turn of every year there are rumours of Chris Jericho coming back to WWE. He has gone and come back so much that fans almost expect it and in recent years he's always been here when it's come to the big dance. Even at 43, he can still go and here's so over with the fans that he needs no build-up to make an impact. Hopefully for Jericho's sake and WWE's sake they can work something out this year. WWE will be calling a lot of familiar faces in for the WWE Network launch. Jericho would only be a few dials away from returning.
