At 37 years of age, Brian Kendrick's inclusion on the Clash Of Champions card is already a fair surprise. There, the 'Man With The Plan' will face T.J Perkins in a bid to become WWE Cruiserweight Champion. Coming out of the Cruiserweight Classic, it's fair to assume that many expected a younger star to be T.J's first major challenger on pay-per-view.

Is it possible that WWE's creative team will go one step further on the show and actually crown Kendrick as champion? Those who follow pro wrestling may scoff at the mere notion, but to do so would ignore a tremendous story.

Should Kendrick become Cruiserweight Champion, it would feed the story also surrounding Cesaro. The Swiss star is less-than-thrilled with the way Stephanie McMahon has handled things on Raw, and Kendrick could add fuel to that fire by claiming he was callously tossed aside by her family years before.

That's all conjecture, naturally Perkins deserves a chance to show what he can do on the main roster as champ too. Still, Kendrick winning isn't outside the realms of possibility.
