Looking back to the social media reactions during the match before Jericho's interference, it was basically a tale of fans congratulating themselves prematurely on their predictions of a Triple H appearance. And that probably would have made a lot of sense. But nope.
Should they be given credit for bucking the most inevitable story-telling? Or is there fundamentally something wrong with building something up that everyone expects and then not delivering it for the sake of messing with expectations? It is - after all - something of a cheap approach to narrative.
But then we wouldn't have got Jericho's "best friend" routine. So maybe it\'s not all tat bad, even if some would still have preferred to have seen Haitch...
