WWE Clash Of Champions 2016: Ranking Every Match From Worst To Best

3. Universal Title: Kevin Owens (c) Vs. Seth Rollins

Result: Owens kills Rollins with the Pop-Up Powerbomb to retain the strap (25:07).

Rating: This was a totally standard main event: entertaining enough for the majority, but far too long and ultimately nothing special considering the talents of the two competitors.

Things did pick up substantially pace-wise for the final sequence, even if Jericho and Steph being anywhere near the ending along with the lame ref bump resulted in a howlingly awful, predictable finish.

This just felt like a filler title match, because nobody expected Rollins to win, and yet he lost via shenanigans so as to grant him yet another shot at the strap, which is honestly just incredibly boring. In many ways this booking epitomised everything wrong with the PPV.
