WWE Clash Of Champions 2019: Every Match Ranked From Worst To Best
6. WWE United States Title: AJ Styles (c) Vs. Cedric Alexander
Result: Styles kills Alexander with the Styles Clash to retain the strap (4:55).
Rating: This had an electric pace from the jump, but was an absolutely baffling choice for the kickoff show. And while it could've strived to be the greatest kickoff match of all time, we instead got a thinly-veiled squash.
At least Alexander gave us an all-timer Phenomenal Forearm sell, even if taking one of the most anticipated matches of the night and giving it the piecemeal kickoff treatment was an inane misstep.
Fingers crossed this program continues long enough for the pair to get a 20-minute PPV rematch. Decent for what it was, but not what people wanted to see. 5/10
