Bayley has been SmackDown Women's Champion since 11 October 2019, meaning a year with the brand's top strap is just beyond the increasingly autumnal horizon. The leaves have already fallen off the friendship tree branching the incumbent and Sasha Banks, and it's obvious - as it has been for the last five hundred years, admittedly - that that programme is where Bayley's future lies.
