WWE: CM Punk's 10 Greatest Moments

1. CM Punk Vs John Cena, Raw, 25/2/2013

CM Punk vs John Cena on the 25th February Raw was arguably even better than their PPV encounters. This one had it all, with both men delivering an intense level of action. You couldn't take you eyes away such was the speed of reversals and transition of spots. At various times it seemed sure to be over, both men looking surefire winners as they nailed their finishers and submission holds. That's when wrestling gets really exciting, when you buy into the drama, when it seems like anything can happen. A lot of that was down to the freedom of expression used. Showing no regard for corporate rules, Punk nailed a piledriver on Cena, creating a real 'wow' moment. We never see that move in WWE, so it made this match feel amazingly special. Surely Cena wouldn't kick out of it? But he did, adding yet more drama to this already exhilarating contest. It was another match that Punk eventually lost, but having delivered such a strong performance, was actually better perceived stronger after the losing effort than he was before it. That sums up CM Punk in the WWE €“ whatever the company had him doing, he was always delivering 100%. As this mix of moments illustrate, he could deliver a promo and wrestle a match in equal brilliance. He will be a massive loss to a company who have built much of their business off his back in the last three years.
