The crowd may have been fairly quiet on Raw, but everyone on social media commenting afterwards seemed to enjoy Humberto Carrillo vs. AJ. The veteran with a chip on his shoulder role is a nice fit for Styles, and there are way worse things WWE could be doing with him than elevating newbies.

He can still do that in Saudi and retain the US Title.

Keeping the Battle Royal short in the first part of the segment, booking Humberto to win it and gifting most of that time to AJ vs. Humberto makes sense. They could have a gem of a 10-minute match here that mixes in the story of Carrillo coming close to dethroning Styles. Then, everyone wins; AJ keeps the belt and fans have reason to root for Humberto.

It might not be a bad idea to get Gallows and Anderson involved too. Mob mentality is what The O.C preach in promos anyway, and they should be helping their leader fend off all comers. This is an opportunity for WWE to build towards a title change, if not for Carrillo then for another Raw rookie.
