WWE Crown Jewel 2023: 10 Things That Must Happen

Will WWE spring some ultimate surprises in Saudi Arabia at Crown Jewel?!

The days of WWE's Saudi trips being treated as dream match factories featuring crusty veterans who were in their prime 20 years ago are very-much over. Today, these international excursions are more in tune with bigger stories starring the full-time roster, and that's a vast improvement.

Will Saturday's Crown Jewel special take things one step closer towards being treated on par with supershows like WrestleMania or SummerSlam? It's possible, especially if Triple H fancies shaking things up heading into Survivor Series. 'The Game' might just have some surprises waiting for you this weekend.

A few major title changes would certainly turn heads, and so would another blockbuster announcement for November's PLE. People have been waiting on that - it's certainly preferable to anymore "brand warfare" nonsense. That's one of WWE's most played out ideas, and it's totally avoidable again this year.

Saturday could be a magnificent evening for LA Knight, IYO SKY, Logan Paul, Drew McIntyre and others. For the latter (who still hasn't inked an extension on his current deal), something long overdue awaits. Fans will get a kick out of it too.

Here's everything that must happen!

10. Rhea Ripley’s Showcase

Time to be honest about something: Rhea Ripley's Women's World title reign hasn't been all that special. Yes, the win over Charlotte Flair at 'Mania 39 was fab, and there have been select goodies here or there since, but the main focus has been on 'Mami' ruling the Judgment Day roost more than defending her belt.

Crown Jewel can help with that.

It's pretty imperative Rhea takes the best of Nia Jax, Shayna Baszler, Zoey Stark and Raquel Rodriguez, but keeps standing tall. Yours truly is talking just 10 minutes of big power moves and fast action before Rhea smashes someone (Raquel, probably) and scores the win. She needs to reassert some dominance over the division.

Taking the strap from Ripley in this kind of bout would be a huge mistake anyway. Rhea is still kinda drifting around waiting on a cracking solo feud she can sink her teeth into, so showcasing her alpha female status on Raw sounds good.
