WWE CWC: 10 Things We Learned From The First Episode
1. Commentary Was Brilliant!
I think it’s safe to say that any potential worries about
Bryan’s credentials as a commentator were well and truly banished on Wednesday.
But it wasn’t just the former champ who excelled at the announce table—Mauro Ranallo
was as stellar as ever, resulting in one of the most enjoyable commentary duos in recent WWE history.
Bryan in particular was so passionate in his delivery; you can tell he’s genuinely excited by the tournament. The moment he and Ranallo called the shooting star press at the exact same time, in the exact same tone, was the perfect example of how in-tune they were with one another and—more importantly—how much fun they were having.
It’s great to see the WWE experimenting with new combinations on commentary, and even greater to see those combinations work as well as they did on Wednesday. As good as the work inside the ring was that night, Bryan and Ranallo’s contributions were equally as impressive.
Let’s just hope commentators are also eligible for the WWE
Draft next week…
