WWE Day 1 2022: 10 Things That Must Happen

1. It Was A Plan All Along!

Wouldn't this be fun?

During the headliner, Paul Heyman could tease going back-and-forth between serving Roman Reigns and helping Brock Lesnar. Eventually, he'd reveal that he's very much still on 'Team Roman' and help his 'Tribal Chief' retain the Universal Title.

Come the next SmackDown, Reigns and Paul E would announce that this was the plan all along. Don't forget that Heyman has made a point of saying he'd "do anything" for Roman. That may well include taking a sacrificial kicking to sucker Brock Lesnar in and remove some of his edge heading into the new year.

If Heyman and Reigns consider Brock to be the biggest threat to Roman's empire, then they'd certainly be willing to go that extra mile to f*ck with his head and soften the 'Beast' up. That makes perfect sense, and it'd conveniently mimic the mind games Paul played with Lesnar heading into their split at the 2002 Survivor Series.
