Before the WWE Draft, fans were told that around six performers would be plucked from NXT and placed on either Raw or SmackDown. That six turned out to be seven, although both Chad Gable and Jason Jordan do come as the one package. Fans were giddy when Shane McMahon announced that the tag-team were SmackDown bound.

It's a good sign that so many in attendance at the show watch enough NXT programming to react so positively to American Alpha. They've been one of the more exciting acts in the entire WWE bubble lately, so they fully deserve the chance to show what they can do on the main roster.

Most notably, they were drafted on the opposite show to The New Day. That means, for now, that American Alpha won't be challenging for the WWE Tag-Team Titles. Does this hint that WWE are going to create an entirely new tag-team division and set of titles for use on SmackDown?

Whatever the case, it's genuinely awesome to see hard work rewarded. Jordan and Gable will mesh well with other SmackDown teams like The Usos.
