WWE Draft 2017: 5 Things That Will Happen (And 5 That Won't)

7. The Women’s Revolution WILL Be Shaken Up

WWE’s women have been on fire since the new brand split kicked in, but the cracks are starting to show. SmackDown’s booking has become increasingly lazy since the start of the year, while Raw has little to offer outside of Charlotte, Bayley, and Sasha Banks. The 'Revolution' is still moving forward, but it needs a refresh, and we can expect the women to feature heavily in any forthcoming draft as a result.

Raw needs midcarders, and SmackDown is desperate for another major star. Trading Charlotte for Natalya would be an excellent start, but there are plenty of mutually beneficial moves to make, and in the end, Raw should come out less top heavy, and SmackDown would receive an extra jolt of credibility in return.

Charlotte was the third overall pick in last year’s draft, and fans can expect the women to feature at a similar level of prominence. Women’s wrestling has become a major part of WWE's programming over the past 18 months, but Raw can’t keep booking the same Bayley/Charlote/Sasha combination feud forever. They must shuffle their deck in order to ensure one of their product’s most exciting aspects doesn’t grow stale in 2017, and that’s precisely what they’ll do.
