WWE Draft 2023: 10 Roster Trades That MUST Happen

2. Cody Rhodes (Raw > SmackDown)

WWE SmackDown Cody Rhodes
WWE

What was that about splitting titles?

If that is indeed WWE's plan, then Cody Rhodes deserves one of them. His story arc isn't over just yet, folks; Rhodes might've lost to Roman Reigns at 'Mania, but he isn't out of the World Title frame by any means. Redemption is coming, and it could be WWE Championship-sized.

All available metrics suggest that Cody is a smash hit financially for WWE. His headline appearances on house shows appear to be doing well, and he's selling merchandise by the truckload. Maintaining that momentum shouldn't be tricky over on SmackDown, and that's where Rhodes needs to be from next week onwards.

You'll see another reason why in a second. For now, just think about how cool it'd be to have Cody as the face of WWE's Friday night output on FOX. He's a tremendous ambassador for the company, and would grab that spot with both hands.
