WWE Elimination Chamber 2014: 10 Questions & Answers

1. On a 1-10 Scale With 10 Being High And 1 Being Low, How Excited Are You For Elimination Chamber?

It gets a 7 out of 10 from me because I'm an optimist. When I wrote this for the Royal Rumble I wrote 8 out of 10 for it because I figured Daniel Bryan would be heavily featured in that main event match. Obviously that didn't happen and the show was a disappointment to a lot of people. In this case, if Daniel Bryan doesn't leave with the WWE WHC in the main event there will likely be disappointed people about that too. That's just how wrestling fans are. They want their favorite to win all the time, which makes a lot of sense. If you look at the actual card, it's not very deep right now. That's something that is concerning just because they have all this time to build up midcard matches and they choose not to do it. In WWE's defense, what they would say is that the midcard isn't really a draw anyway and it's the top matches that draw the interest anyway. The main event is likely what's going to carry it. That match should go 30-40 minutes. When you add in the video package plus intros, that's going to take up to an hour. The six man tag should definitely get 20 minutes. They should have done a better job of adding matches to the rest of the card so we could get a better idea of things, but that's what the last week of TV is for too. With one week to go, Elimination Chamber is shaping up to be an interesting show.
