WWE are obsessed with making history just lately, but quite honestly, it's easy to do. All it involves is being alive and experiencing time as a linear concept. In fact, the first part isn't even necessary; most rivers manage it quite unthinkingly, as they spend several millennia carving paths through mountains and recoursing the story of humanity in the process.

Not all history is historic, and not all moments are momentous. Really, that's WWE's ambition, but the two outcomes only exist in potentia until long after the fact. Like the first women's Royal Rumble, the inaugural women's Elimination Chamber is a milestone, but its novelty doesn't automatically make it worthy. Just putting the match on isn't an achievement in itself; it's an indictment of the company's inability to take the division seriously for the past 15 years since the men's variation was invented.

Of course, it could fulfill all that daunting bluster, though it's unlikely the sextet will move any mountains. There's certainly enough intrigue to make it so, not least where it concerns the victor. There's something just not right about Asuka vs. Alexa Bliss at WrestleMania, but the obvious candidate, Sasha Banks, picked up a victory on Raw. Everybody knows what that means for her chances, and besides an inexplicable Bayley swerve, there seems no other clearer outcome than Alexa's arm raised. So Asuka vs. Charlotte, then?

Prediction: Sasha fails to make history again, as Alexa squeaks away just about in tact.

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
