It may have been clumsier than a Shockmaster lecture on how to make an entrance, but at least WWE's Sasha Banks and Bayley story had some closure. They've been blowing hot and cold as on/off pals for the past year or so (even colliding inside the Chamber in 2018), but now they're the "first ever' Women's Tag Champs.

All's well that ends well.

Let's give creative the benefit of the doubt here. It could just be that they knew all along Vince McMahon would dress as Santa Claus and announce the new belts towards the end of 2K18, and that may be why they tried their best to prolong the agony with Sasha and her huggable pal. If so, then all is forgiven.

The TV they produced was horrible, no doubt, and yet this 'Boss N' Hug Connection' could work as the leaders of a bold new division. It appears the writers have thought that for a while, and they finally came through for the pair on Sunday.
