WWE Elimination Chamber 2022: Every Match Ranked From Worst To Best
7. WWE Universal Title: Roman Reigns (c) Vs. Goldberg
Result: Roman makes Goldberg pass out with the Guillotine to retain the strap (6:00).
Rating: The outcome was never in doubt, especially as the match was the first on the main show, and predictably this was a total nothing-burger of a title fight that did basically nothing for either man.
The big problem is that not a single living soul bought into the possibility of a Goldberg win, which combined with his sluggish performance in the ring - evidenced by those depressingly weak Spears - sapped any possibility of fun from proceedings.
Despite running just six minutes this was shockingly lethargic and dull, but at least didn't go long enough to inspire actual anger, wasn't a sloppy botch-fest, and the right man won.
The hilariously anti-climactic ending is a pretty awful exit for Goldberg if this truly is his last WWE match, though. Go out on your back, for sure, but like this? 4/10
