WWE Elimination Chamber 2024: 10 Nightmares That Could Come True
The Rock forced a WWE pivot before. Will he do it again at Elimination Chamber?!
Know your role and...kindly read on to get terrified by all of the awful things WWE could book this weekend at Elimination Chamber 2024 over in Perth, Australia. Phew! Oh yes, you know the drill - there's no room for good vibes here. This is a collection of the worst that could possibly happen on the next PLE.
Triple H has only booked four matches for Chamber, and two of them are titular cage bouts. Elsewhere, Rhea Ripley defends her title against Nia Jax and Judgment Day tangles with New Catch Republic pair Pete Dunne and Tyler Bate. Sounds simple enough, right? This is a speed bump stop on the road to WrestleMania 40, isn't it? Isn't it?!
Probably, but it could be nightmare fuel instead.
Prepare to launch headfirst into the silliest suggestions left on WWE's creative cutting room floor. There's word on everyone from Seth Rollins (who's slated for a promo skit with Cody Rhodes) and The Rock to Jade Cargill and Damian Priest. It'd suck, but perhaps injuries will force WWE to pivot on 'Mania plans yet again and try on something totally wild...
10. GUNTHER Loses After All
Reports coming out after Raw suggested GUNTHER almost lost the Intercontinental Title to Jey Uso on Monday's show. This record-breaking reign will need to end at some point, but most would agree that having the Imperium leader roll on until WrestleMania 40 would be the best course of action.
Triple H might disagree.
What if 'The Game' hastily books a rematch at Elimination Chamber and goes through with the title switch this time? Don't rule it out, because WWE's decision makers may reason that Jey's feud with brother Jimmy could use a little extra spice. They've probably got grander plans further up the card for GUNTHER post-'Mania as well.
This would be a nightmare for two reasons. One, any battle of The Usos definitely doesn't need a title to make it spicier. Two, GUNTHER's reign must end properly rather than suddenly. WWE must make sure his run is viewed as one of the most satisfying ever from start to finish.
