WWE Ends Regular Training At Performance Center
The PC is shut for all but those filming.
WWE have reportedly ended all regular training at their Performance Center in Orlando, FL.
According to Dave Meltzer, speaking on the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, the facility has been shut down in response to the ongoing global health crisis. However, WWE continue to film new episode of Raw and SmackDown at the location, and wrestlers part of such tapings are still permitted to work out in the PC's gym and weight room.
Nevertheless, access to the building is restricted. It's understood that performers are spending most of their time when not filming outdoors. Individuals are called in for their required segments and matches, before being sent back outside.
At present, health experts recommend that no more than 50 people should occupy a building at any one time. WWE, whilst rather brazenly continuing with a product that presents obvious risks to their talent, are nevertheless trying to take every precaution possible to ensure the safety of their staff. Attendance is voluntary, and everybody's temperature is taken ahead of each show. Equipment is also regularly changed between matches, in a bid to prevent any possible risk of contamination.
