WWE Evolution: 10 Female Superstars That Must Return
9. Layla
Layla had a pretty unique start in the wrestling industry, taking part in WWE's Diva Search - which she then went on to win. She made her first official WWE appearance during SummerSlam 2006, and one of her earlier storylines saw her trick The Miz into getting a lap dance from Big Dick Johnson. After managing several competitors over the years and competing in singles matches, Layla finally got a chance to showcase her abilities when she teamed with Michelle McCool to form LayCool.
In 2010, Layla won the Women's Championship (becoming the first British person to hold the title). Interestingly, she was also the last person to ever hold the Women's Championship, as the belt was subsequently retired in 2010. She continued competing in WWE until 2015, before announcing her retirement.
Layla proved what she was capable of during her time with WWE, and considering Evolution is set to honour the women of the industry, it's only fair that she make an appearance. Moreover, as Layla was the last ever WWE Women's Champion, we think she'd make a perfect addition to the upcoming Evolution PPV (even though it'd require the company admitting it was their decision to start calling women 'Divas').
