WWE Extreme Rules: 16 Things You Might Have Missed
13. Luke Harper and Dean Ambrose Just Had One Of The Longest WWE PPV Matches In History
Taking advantage of the fact that a Chicago Streetfight has no count-outs, the match between Luke Harper and the Lunatic Fringe did not end once they left the arena. Despite the fact that no cameras were able to see them during their time away from the arena (a huge missed opportunity), the two men were still fighting when they returned nearly an hour later. From bell to bell, their match clocked in at 56 minutes 10 seconds. Discounting Royal Rumbles and 60-minute Iron Man matches, the two men had the longest WWE PPV match ever recorded. The next longest was Triple H and Shawn Michael in a Hell In A Cell match at Badd Blood 2004, which clocked in at 47:23, which is frankly pathetic in comparison.
