WWE Extreme Rules 2013: 10 Bloodiest & Best Extreme Rules Matches Of All Time

2. WWE Title Match (Street Fight): Cactus Jack vs. Triple H - WWE Royal Rumble 2000

http://youtu.be/g-QTkPmdkZw On 22nd of September 1997, the WWE universe met Cactus Jack. He was birthed in a Raw segment to battle Triple H in one of the best Street Fights held on free TV. Three years later with a WWF/E Title thrown into the mix and we got a return match. The return match to end all return matches. All the spots and ideas from the original match turned on their head, and pushed further than we could have imaged. Barbed wire, thumbtacks and even a call-back spot to the infamous I-Quit match from 1999's Royal Rumble. What makes this stand out? Well, the story. That is what makes every match stand out. Going into this one, we had the heartbreaking "firing" of Mick Foley and the brutal beatdown of Mankind on Smackdown. The time was right, Cactus Jack felt like a Superhero and the match felt like it was important. Everything else just proved that it was.
