WWE Extreme Rules 2016: 10 Awesome Moments

9. Rusev & Lana's Social Media Promo

More often than not, the 'Social Media Lounge' segments that feature on the Kickoff show feel like throwaway filler. Occasionally, a performer does have some interesting answers, but the questions are usually pedestrian or solely there to throw softballs for a wrestler to discuss his match that evening.

Whilst that's entirely understandable, it doesn't really make for vital television. This time, Rusev and Lana were the guests in the lounge. Whilst the questions still lacked that air of interest, the pair showed some real personality to make the skit worthwhile. Rusev was especially on top form, letting his natural charisma shine through more than once.

In a funny moment, as Tom Phillips wrapped up the segment, the 'Bulgarian Brute' added a little sound bite. Mentioning the upcoming main event between Roman Reigns and AJ Styles, Phillips paused briefly as Rusev blurted out, "good for them".

His deadpan delivery was a real highlight, making the segment feel more organic and less like a cheap way to use up some time on the Kickoff show.
