WWE Extreme Rules 2016: 5 Near-Guarantees & 3 Possible Surprises
5. Near-Guarantee: Finn Balor Will Not Debut
Sorry to be like WWE's creative team on this one and stomp on your hopes and dreams, but there's no way Finn Balor is making his debut at Extreme Rules.
Fans have been anticipating the impending debut especially since his shock NXT Championship loss to Samoa Joe. However, with a rematch confirmed for NXT TakeOver in a steel cage, Balor won't be coming up until the feud reaches its full conclusion at the very earliest.
Although we have seen Superstars compete on both the main roster and NXT, Balor would not be able to fulfill the dates required to work top tier stories on both brands. Additionally, as Balor would most likely be brought up to work with AJ Styles, Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson in some capacity, his predicted heel alignment would clash with his position as a face pitted against Samoa Joe.
As much as passionate Balor fans will reason with themselves to make his debut plausible, it's simply not going to happen.
