WWE Extreme Rules 2018: Star Ratings For All 12 Matches

3. Alexa Bliss Vs. Nia Jax - RAW Women’s Title Extreme Rules Match

The worst entry in an already insipid feud, as a match, this was rotten. As an attraction, it was helped enormously by yet another transcendent Ronda Rousey performance.

Nia Jax, as we know by now, is irredeemable. She can’t even aim correctly, missing the first of two bin-compacting spots. Still, this match barely happened, thank Christ. Alexa is better, but very inconsistent between the ropes. She failed to wedge a chair between turnbuckle pads the first time ‘round. Forced to do it again, this made Nia look foolish for falling for a less-than-tricky ruse. A match of so many literally moving parts requires pros to hold it together. This train wreck brought into focus just how many poor performers WWE are intent on pushing.

It was left to the so-called amateur to bring the professionalism. Ronda attacked Mickie James like she’d framed her for murder, and was intent on enacting vigilante justice. Jax and Bliss are meant to hate one another in real life, and they still couldn’t come close to approaching Ronda’s manufactured motivation.

The difference in quality is beyond stark.

Star Rating: *1/4
