WWE Extreme Rules 2019: 10 Things That Must Happen
6. Ricochet Defies The Odds
It was good to see WWE come to their senses with Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson recently. They've clubbed together (no, you get out) with AJ Styles again, and they've returned AJ to those heelish roots fans haven't witnessed since 2016. They've even used mob tactics to try and overwhelm the new kid on the block.
It's imperative that Ricochet doesn't back down. In fact, it's even more pressing that he defies the numbers disadvantage and beats Styles. He's the new United States Champion, and that belt has had enough ping-ponging around after Rey Mysterio's injury problems turned his feud with Samoa Joe into a slight mess.
There's an easy way to book this too.
If Gallows and Anderson repeatedly interfere to help AJ, the referee will turf them from ringside and leave Styles to eat a 630 for his sins. There's no reason why WWE can't squeeze more than one match out of this rivalry, and that'd mean a sweet SummerSlam payday for both.
