WWE Extreme Rules: 8 Match Predictions

2. Randy Orton, Batista & Kane Vs. The Shield

Now that The Shield are in a babyface role, it's time for them to get some opponents that are different than what we've seen before. Saying "new" opponents isn't really the right term since they've wrestled Kane dozens of times when he was with Daniel Bryan while Randy Orton has also faced off with The Shield many times. Batista would be a fresh opponent, though. This matchup would be a huge six man tag because the team of Orton, Batista & Kane have combined to win 20 WWE/World Championships in their careers. In other words, they have a lot of credibility. Ideally, The Shield would get the win in a match like this although if they wanted to continue the story then the heels could come out victorious in this match. Hopefully WWE doesn't ruin it by giving the match away on Raw or Smackdown. Save it for Extreme Rules. It will mean more there. It also wouldn't be a bad idea if Ambrose lost the US Title to somebody (not necessarily Orton, Batista or Kane) because it's currently being wasted on him when he barely defends the thing. Perhaps that's something they can do on Raw prior to Extreme Rules. There's no reason to keep the US Title on him.
