WWE Finally Confirms Plans For 2021 Draft
Everything you need to know about the 2021 WWE Draft - including when it goes down.
WWE has finally provided official confirmation of details for the upcoming 2021 Draft, doing so during last night's episode of Raw.
As announced on the broadcast, this year's grand roster reshuffle will commence on the Friday 1 October episode of SmackDown then continue on Raw's Monday 4 October show. The first night is due to take place at the Royal Farms Arena in Baltimore, Maryland, with night two going down in Nashville, Tennessee's Bridgestone Arena.
That episode of SmackDown will be the brand's Extreme Rules 2021 fallout show, with that pay-per-view going down on 26 October. Raw, however, will have the benefit of separate episodes for Extreme Rules fallout and the draft itself the following week.
WWE has held either a draft or Superstar Shake-Up every year since reintroducing the brand split back in 2016. 2019 saw the promotion go all-in on reconfiguring its talent rosters, holding both a Draft and Shake-Up within the same calendar year, though they have resisted that temptation in 2020 and 2021.
There is currently no word on whether or not NXT will be involved in the 2021 Draft, as is speculated each year.
