Jumping back above two million viewers on average, this week's show saw a ratings rise of 1.6% from the previous week's edition. SmackDown also landed a 0.5 rating in the vital 18-49 demographic, which was the top score in that category on the night.

The show also included a non-title match, which saw SmackDown Tag Team Champions The New Day taking on Cesaro and Shinsuke Nakamura, Jeff Hardy taking a urine test and subsequently throwing said urine at his Backlash opponent Sheamus, and the team of Heavy Machinery and Universal Champion Braun Strowman overcoming Dolph Ziggler, The Miz and John Morrison.

Will next week's blue show be able to keep its rating above two million? Or will WWE see SmackDown's numbers drop off again in the wake of Sunday's Backlash PPV?
