It was the night on which the “Divas” officially became Superstars. Sasha Banks, Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch celebrated by stealing WWE’s biggest ever show with an adrenaline-triggering thriller.
Banks absorbed some wicked bumps early, to create both realism and sudden-death drama within the subsequent, vicious exchanges between Flair and Lynch. Breaking up one tense exchange with a tributary frog splash, she almost broke something else minutes later. Almost too impatient to change the page from Revolution to Evolution, she attempted to flatten Charlotte with a suicide dive. Having caught her foot in the rope, she transitioned at the last nanosecond into a somersault plancha.
This mirrored the struggle all three women and their predecessors fought through to get there; Sasha created magic from an enormously disadvantaged position.
