One of the most beautiful wrestling belt designs ever, custom or otherwise, this enriched Ted DiBiase’s rich man character, portraying him as a man of impeccable taste and entitled disposition.
The key is in the detail: dispensing with the the traditional leather strap—why bother with such a mundane, affordable material when you can just have more gold?—the multiple dollar symbols were a bit on the nose.
But then, the design, every centimetre of it, reflected DiBiase’s seminal entertainment machine of a character: he didn’t so much flaunt his wealth but laugh in our face for being poor.
