WWE Glasgow Live - 10 Interesting Observations

4. Barrett Insults Scotland, Then We€™re Saved By An American Patriot

King Barrett came to Glasgow to deliver some bad news. He cut a pretty great promo using local Scottish slang words to describe the crowd, specifically calling us all €˜Pish€™ which got a chuckle from the audience in the Hydro.

Bad News would then go on to declare himself the Local Hero which very briefly, my friend and I thought would bring out Scottish indie star Joe Hendry who brands himself €˜The Local Hero€™ but instead Barrett continued to berate the Glasgow crowd until Jack Swagger came to save the day.

The All American American came out to a mixed reaction in Glasgow. The Scottish crowd didn€™t seem thrilled that a US Patriot was coming to defend the honour of Scotland from an Englishman. Swagger put his arm across his chest to do his €˜We The People€™ routine and maybe 18% of the audience did it along with him.

They would go on to have a decent match. Barrett is such a great worker which is understandable that you€™d forget with how often he loses matches. In keeping with tradition, Swagger wrenched in the ankle lock, Barrett tapped and Scotland€™s honour was saved. Kind of.
