WWE Great Balls Of Fire: 8 Things That Must Happen
7. The Intercontinental Title Match Goes Out First
There's a feeling of déjà vu surrounding The Miz vs. Dean Ambrose at Great Balls Of Fire. The match won't be bad, but it's one we've seen a million times before; sooner or later, Miz is going to need a fresh challenger for that Intercontinental Title. As likeable as Ambrose is, it's hard to see him winning this weekend.
Whichever outcome WWE's writers do pick though, it'd be a good idea to put the IC bout out first following the Cruiserweight Kickoff shenanigans. Out of all the title matches on the show, this is arguably the least interesting (again owing to that 'seen it all before' feel), so a 10-minute sprint from Miz and Ambrose would be the best shout.
If WWE are serious about Curtis Axel and Bo Dallas being the champ's 'Miz-tourage', then they should be involved in the finish to help their new boss retain. It's time to wrap this feud up, and the only way to do that is with Miz winning definitively.
