The Phenom was originally set to make an appearance at Jeddah Super Dome.

With The Undertaker having recently been announced as the first inductee in the 2022 class of the WWE Hall of Fame, there were tentative plans to have the Deadman make an appearance in person at yesterday's Elimination Chamber premium live event.

As per PWInsider, this plan was for 'Taker to make a non-wrestling appearance at the Jeddah Super Dome to celebrate his upcoming Hall of Fame induction. Instead, the decision was made not to go forward with this idea, and thus the Phenom didn't make the flight out to Saudi Arabia.

The Undertaker was still a presence at Elimination Chamber, of course, with WWE airing a lengthy, brilliant video package chronicling the career of the legendary Mark Calaway. Still, there were clearly some in attendance who thought 'Taker was about to make a surprise appearance when his entrance music hit to usher in this footage.

Given how WrestleMania 38 is due to emanate from Dallas, Texas - the home state of Calaway - many had speculated that the Undertaker would be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame this year. Such speculation has proven true, with it now a case of waiting to see which other names will be inducted alongside the seven-time World Champion.
