WWE Hall Of Fame Class Of 2016 - 10 Possible Inductees

5. Genichiro Tenryu

One of Japan's most famous professional wrestlers, Tenryu would be a sensible prediction as a member of the Class of 2016 for a number of reasons. For one, the WWE Network just recently launched in Japan and what better way to promote the product than by advertising that one of Japan's finest performers will be inducted into the Hall during the Network-exclusive ceremony in April? Secondly, WWE has developed a pattern over the years in which the final list of inductees reads something like this: 1 former WWE main event superstar 1 former WWE woman superstar 1 International star, little-to-no WWE experience necessary 1 celebrity inductee, very little WWE experience necessary (Max of) 1 posthumous former WWE superstar inductee In addition to meeting the international star quota for 2016, Genichiro Tenryu would be absolutely deserving of any professional wrestling Hall Of Fame induction. Also, unlike many other international Hall Of Fame inductees from years past, Tenryu did actually compete in the World Wrestling Federation on a number of occasions, including at several high-profile events. Tenryu teamed with Kitao at WrestleMania VII to defeat Demolition, Smash & Crush, in what would prove to be Demolition's final PPV match. A few years later, Tenryu returned to assist Mr. Fuji and help the WWF Champion Yokozuna defeat The Undertaker in a Casket Match at the 1994 Royal Rumble. Later on in the evening, prior to entering the 30-man Royal Rumble Match, Tenryu was also involved in a backstage attack on Lex Luger in hopes that Luger would be too injured to compete (Tenryu failed but so did Luger at WrestleMania X, so win-win, I guess.) Although those are far from Hall Of Fame moments or his biggest accomplishments, Tenryu has more of a connection to WWE than many other previous international superstars that received the honor of an induction. All these reasons combine to make 2016 a likely possibility for Tenryu to enter the Hall.
