WWE Hall-Of-Famer Debuts On AEW Dynamite

Cody went face-to-face with a living legend last night.

WWE Hall-of-Famer Jake 'The Snake' Roberts made a shocking appearance on last night's AEW Dynamite, confronting Cody as 'The American Nightmare' addressed his defeat to MJF at Revolution last Saturday.

Cody had called MJF to come out, look him in the eye, and tell him man-to-man that he'd defeated him fair and square. Cue: Roberts. The WWE Hall-of-Famer walked out from the back, claimed he was "tired of hearing you cry and b*tch," and ripped AEW's ace for losing, before moving on to his next topic: his new client.

"The dark side will be coming to AEW," he said. He's bringing a new charge to the promotion and told Cody to take that "that one-trick pony" Arn Anderson with him, setting 'The American Nightmare' off on a brand new feud against a fresh, unknown opponent, with Roberts as the opposing manager.

There's currently no word on what kind of schedule Jake will be working for AEW, though last night's promo was effective. Age has changed Roberts' voice, but his words still carry the old, evil weight that made him one of the best talkers in the game, and it'll be fun to see who he has lined up for Cody.
